The parish initiates the Christian people into the ordinary expression of the liturgical life: it teaches Christ's saving doctrine; it practices the charity of the Lord in good works and brotherly love: You cannot pray at home as at church, where there is a great multitude, where exclamations are cried out to God as from one great heart, and where there is something more: the union of minds, the accord of souls, the bond of charity, the prayers of the priests. --St. John Chrysostom, De incomprehensibili3, 6
New Parishioner RegistrationFor new parishioner registration, please contact the Parish Office to register. To be registered at St. Cecilia means that an individual or family has filled out and returned the appropriate parish registration card. Stewardship ParishionersAll are welcome at St. Cecilia, but we request all parishioners to consider being Stewardship Parishioners. A Stewardship Parishioner is one who is registered at St. Cecilia, attending Mass here on a regular basis, and is supporting St. Cecilia through time, talent, and treasure. A parishioner must be a stewardship parishioner in order to be given in-parish rates for tuition, facility rental, and other programs. To be attending St. Cecilia means that an individual or family is attending Sunday and Holy Day Masses at St. Cecilia unless the pastor has been made aware of some particular circumstances that preclude such attendance.
To be supporting St. Cecilia through time, talent, and treasure should be based upon the Scriptures and the precepts of the Church. A current stewardship pledge renewal card must be on file with an effort to meet those commitments demonstrated as well as appropriate demonstration of participation in parish Parish Ministries as physically able.
May the eyes of [your] hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe.... --Ephesians 2: 18-19a History | Parish Staff | Mass | Sacraments | Catechesis | Calendar | Bulletin | Parish Ministries | Parish Life | Registration | Directions | Contact Us | Home
